Biddy USC Team Pics

Here are some great pics taken by Mrs. Vasquez the Team Mom, and other parents.

Week 2 Vs. Steelers Game

The Young Trojans strutted their stuff all over the field in week 2 Vs. Steelers.  The team showed great improvement overall.  The offense was running on all cylinders.  There was even a completed pass that ended in a large gain.  The O-line showed what they learned all week at practice and the defense made some key tackles when the time came.  I know that this team will continue to improve and show that there is a heart of a lion in each one of these Trojans.

Week 2 Vs. Steelers

Week 2 was started off with another great week of practice and hard work by the young Trojans.  These kids continue to work very hard to prepare themselves for game time.  They have inserted a few more plays on offense and are learning about the fundamentals of playing defense.
On offense, the play of the week was the short pass.  The O-line is focusing on giving more time to the quarterback and receivers.
The defense has been zeroing in on pulling the flag at all cost.  As a unit they are realizing that defense takes team work.  Staying together as a unit is something that this team takes pride in and will continue to practice as the weeks go on.

Game 1 vs. The Cowboys

Game one was a great learning experience for the young Trojans. It was obvious early on, that the forty five minute game delay had taken its toll on the team. The team grew restless on the sideline and started out a little groggy. Everyone, including the coaches, were reacting in slow motion. We definitely received a wake up call from the Cowboys with a couple of early scores in the first half.
A good pep talk form Coach Carl and Coach Phillip seemed to ignite the team in the second half. The young Trojans showed great poise by never quitting and scoring in the second half just before the final seconds. The drive was started by some great blocking by the O-Line and a beautiful run by Quinn the tailback. Just moments later the drive was capped off by a long touchdown run by the Quarterback Ezekiel.
Yes, the Trojans have many issues to be addressed at practice but their never ending desire to score and a no-quitting-attitude sparked a winning flame that will continue to grow as the season progresses. At this point the parents and coaches are very pleased with the promise that these young players have displayed and realize that they will learn valuable lessons about football and life this season.

The Biddy USC Trojans are off and running.

In our first week of practice the Trojans spent some time getting to know one another and the coaching staff. There were early introductions by the players, coaches, and parents. It appears that this season will develop some long lasting friendships between both the players and parents. The exact formula needed to grow a winning attitude in the Trojan family.

All of the Trojans showed great promise in their efforts at practice last week. Everyone is working hard and smelling the leather of the football on defense. Following the flow of the ball is the major element that this core of players needs to get the hang of.

On the offensive side of the ball, the players ran throwing and catching drills. They were also taught the various positions on the field. The Trojans have learned a lot in week one and are making great strides in little time.
